Wampler Thirty Something gives you a Vox overdrive sound in a pedal form.
Bass: Controls the amount of low frequencies. Cuts the low frequencies when turned counterclockwise, adds bass when turned clockwise. Works especially well when some additional girth is needed with single coil pickups.
Treble: Controls the amount of high frequencies. Cuts the treble towards 7 o'clock, brightens the sound towards 5 o'clock.
Top Cut: If the sound is too bright cut some of the highest frequencies with this knob.
Gain: Adjusts the amount of gain. In 7 o'clock the sound is completely clean and gets dirtier towards 5 o'clock. The midrange is emphasized as the gain is added. Gain control works in conjunction with the Headroom control.
Volume: Adjusts the output level.
Boost: The boost circuit is located before the Gain control in the signal chain. It adds gain when the overdrive circuit is engaged. When the overdrive is off, the Boost acts as volume booster, boosting the midrange and the high frequencies.
Headroom: More headroom on the 30-position, less in the 15-position.
- Power draw: 9 VDC center negative or 9V battery. 13 mA.
- True Bypass
