Wampler's Dual Fusion packs two Wampler-overdrives (the Paisley Drive and the Euphoria) into one package. The Vintage-side dishes out singing Dumble- style distortion, while the Modern-side produces a TS-type overdrive. You can run both sides at once, or each on its own, and you can also stack the sides in your chosen order.
Volume: each channel has its own Volume-knob for signal level adjustment. You can also use it to boost your signal.
Gain: each channel has its own Gain-control, adjusting the amount of distortion.
Tone: each channel has its own Tone-control, for timbre adjustment (in tandem with each channel's tone switch). We'd recommend starting with Tone at 12 o'clock.
Smooth/Fat-switch: the Vintage side's tone switch. Selecting 'Smooth' will result in a Dumble-type sound with lots of presence and dynamics. 'Fat' gives you a slight boost with less distortion, making it great for comping.
Throaty/Natural-switch: the Modern-side's tone switch. 'Natural' will give you an organic, open and natural overdrive-sound, which lets your guitar's own tone shine through clearly. 'Throaty' boosts the mids, and adds top end clarity.
Stacking switch: this 3-way switch lets you change the pedal's signal routing. Switched to the right: Vintage->Modern. Switched to the left: Modern- >Vintage. The middle setting lets both channels function independently. Depending on the position of this switch, you might have to use different inputs and outputs see manual for details.
