Mad Professor Royal Blue Overdrive

The Royal Blue Overdrive offers a broad spectrum of tones ranging from light overdrive to distortion. At its lowest Distortion knob setting, it functions as an EQ. Additionally, it can be employed to produce a tube amp-like crunchy 'strike hard for distortion' effect. With minimal filtering on the overdrive, it delivers a transparent tone that can be further customized using both the Treble and Bass controls.

Similar to the finest boutique amps, the Royal Blue OD allows you to control the level of breakup by adjusting the intensity of your picking or by manipulating the volume knob on your guitar. This level of expressiveness can be seamlessly integrated into any clean or slightly overdriven amplifier.

  Volume: Sets the output volume level.
  Drive: Sets the amount of gain. At 7 o'clock the sound is completely clean and you can use the Royal Blue as an EQ pedal or boost. Royal Blue is a very dynamic pedal, you can control the amount of gain with your playing dynamics and your guitar's volume pot. Also, as with all Mad Professor pedals, the sound stays clear even with high gain settings.
