On this board we used the Lehle Parallel SW II as a blender between a piezo and a magnetic pickup on Kantele, a traditional Finnish instrument.
As for the effects choices on the board, after critical listening we ended up with Walrus Audio Fathom as our reverb and a Strymon Timeline as a delay and looper. Both sounded superb, without masking the delicate quality of the source instrument, rather just adding to it.
